I am Bernadette.
Badz to people I call friends.
INSANELY NOCTURNAL.
Which may be due to my being a coffee addict.
Yup. Two mug-fuls are my daily dose of this caffeine drug, nothing less.
18 years consumed. An adult, but not quite yet.
A 3rd year BS Physical Therapy student at the University of Santo Tomas.
BIBLIOPHILE. Book geek. Bookworm. Whatever, I'm a sucker for books.
Quite into foreign indie films.
I make book and movie reviews 'cause I like to.
The links can be found below if you just scroll down.
I don't really follow back, unless I find the blog interesting.
Living, fighting, being strong.
But still, I'm just another human being.
My strings are finally cut.

Words that would probably be the reasons I kill someone.

5. Why would I need to read a boring book when I could watch the movie?

4. Oh, I made a teeny tiny rip on one page of your favorite book. It’s just really small.

3.  There are far better things to do than read books.

2. Those are just characters inside a book. They are not real, they do not exist.

1. Sorry, I lost your book. I mean, we’re friends so it’s fine, right?

"

flux, n.

The natural state. Our moods change. Our lives change. Our feelings for each other change. Our bearings change. The song changes. The air changes. The temperature of the shower changes.

Accept this. We must accept this.

Some say I live a pretentious life, hiding in pages and pages of countless books. They just don’t understand that these alternate worlds are actually the ones keeping me sane and alive.

Unlike many others, I wouldn’t ask for 2012 to be an awesome and brilliant one. I just want to get through the next year peacefully. Not perfect or anything superb, just let me just have the strength to face the new year to come.

The worst thing you can do to bookworms is to disturb them while reading. If you see us holding a book up our noses, stay away and leave us alone for your own good. No matter how close you are to us, we will be annoyed.

"She never utters a sound even when she’s crying, and that makes me a little sad. Doesn’t seem right. When you cry, people should hear you. The world should stop."

And once again, not everything you read on the Internet is true.

Sorry for violating the picture. But I really love the original essay that contains this quote. This isn’t from Robert Pattinson. This is from Rosemarie Urquico’s Date A Girl Who Reads. The essay was a response to another well written one from Charles Warnke, entitled You Should Date An Illiterate Girl. I just hate it that these people weren’t properly credited for their amazing works. And worse, their mind’s product was even used to credit a celebrity, whom a think is incapable of even writing this kind of stuff. I’m sorry, but this have got to stop. Know your facts before posting things like this. It’s not fair to the people who spent their time and effort making the original essay.

And yes, you may judge me, but it won’t change things for me.

It’s really hilarious watching people’s faces whenever I tell them that I don’t believe in God or any other higher being there is. It’s like they are seeing someone morph right in front of their eyes. Like I’m some kind of disgusting and unacceptable creature. In their mind, I am worthless and insane. A detestable being. In my mind, everyone one of them are crazier than me because they can’t accept the fact that each person is different and so are their beliefs.

One word.

Love is a serious word, a very big word. Don’t just go around saying it randomly to every person you come across. It may be a big deal to others, you know. Some people may believe it. Some people may hang on to your word. I’m not saying that people should never utter the words “I love you”. I’m just saying that a person must be sure about the feelings these words go with. If not, it may lead to serious trouble. Misunderstandings are scary when they go out of hand. So, be careful with your words. Think before you do. Think twice before you let these words come out of your mouth. It isn’t nice to hurt people by not meaning what you say.

"Inside each of us resides the truth, I began, the absolute truth. But sometimes the truth is hidden in a hall of mirrors. Sometimes we believe we are viewing the real thing, when in fact we are viewing a facsimile, a distortion."

Real friends don’t do anything to make their friends feel like shit.

Yes you can joke around and insult them but not to the point wherein they’ll feel like they don’t matter and don’t belong.

"There are guys who grow up thinking they’ll settle down some distant time in the future, and there are guys who are ready for marriage as soon as they meet the right person. The former bore me, mainly because they’re pathetic; and the latter, quite frankly, are hard to find. But it’s the serious ones I’m interested in, and it takes time to find a guy like that whom I’m equally interested in. I mean, if the relationship can’t survive the long term, why on earth would it be worth my time and energy for short term?"

Why are most people’s minds easliy corruptible?

I just wonder how come most people easily believe in things. Worse comes to worst, they believe more in negative stuff than positive. One would post something about the devil, satan, evil stuff, and then the next second, people are cowering, afraid of such things. The funny thing is, they have been present with the idea of the good, the light, and God, but then they refuse to see that maybe, this is what really exist. I’m not a strong believer. I do question some things, and yes, my religion, but I don’t understand why people can believe one thing yet, refuse to accept another, even when both things don’t have much evidences. Is it really that easy to poison people’s mind nowadays?
